Happy LEAP YEAR to our family, friends and neighbors !

   Once again, we would like to welcome you to a new edition of our local publication, Devine Times.  Isn’t it crazy how time seems to fly?  I just blinked my eyes for a moment and February is knocking on the front door. I hope that your January was all you wanted it to be and I am sure you all are still following those New Year’s resolutions that you made! I hope so anyway. If not, it’s not too late to get back on track.

February is a great month for history, celebration and getting back on track!  We all know that February is the shortest work month of the year. But did you know February is host to American Heart month, Black History month,  Dental Health month, Potato Lovers month, National Consumer Protection week, Groundhog Day (2/2), The Chinese New Year (2/7), Abraham Lincoln’s B-Day (2/12), Presidents Day (2/20), and George Washington’s Birthday (2/22).

All the romantics out there are saying “Hello, you forgot Valentines Day”. Well, not really. I wanted to reserve this space to officially put the guys on notice that Valentines Day is almost here. So if your guy might not read this, leave it somewhere he will see it so he gets the reminder. For the guys who do read this, make me proud! And for those of you who still have not figured out what we are talking about the date is February 14, it’s Valentine’s Day,  I believe that will be a Thursday this year.

As far as getting back on track, we have made some changes to our little publication here. First of all, we have increased our distribution this month to 4000 residential copies. We have also put together a website www.devinetimes.net that will host each month’s edition online and give you a way to communicate quickly and easily with us. We have added some new content for you like “Making a Difference”, “Speak up I said…”, and “Rumor is…”.  Check them out and let us know what you think.

In closing today, I would like to challenge each of you to go out and laugh a little more, complain a little less and slow down when you are driving in and around our wonderful community!
